We are the first Oyster Bar in Berlin. Open for lunch and dinner we serve a French based changing daily menu. Coming from one of the most important culinary families in France, chef Margaux Arabian opens her first restaurant in Berlin, Germany. Partnered with Oliver Chesler the well known electronic musician VOLK sets out to be a great food experience and also the place to be. We are available for catering and special events. Our menu changes daily but often you can find —


Sardines la belle-iloise

Two flapjacks served with molasses and our signature sassafras-infused whipped cream. Fresh fruit additional $4.



Cornmeal and molasses hotcakes served with sweet fennel pork sausage.


Croque Monsieur

Two thick buckwheat cakes served with honey and our signature sassafras-infused whipped cream. Fresh fruit additional $4.


Cod Millefeuille

Served with molasses, bananas, and fresh berries.


Beef Filet

Clove-rubbed corned beef and coleslaw between two pieces of cowboy fry bread. Served with a side salad or fried potatoes.


Tarte Tatin

Thick cuts of roasted wild turkey, wild onions, lettuce, tomato, mayo, and black bread.


Snails Meurette

Slow-smoked beef brisket cut into thin slices, pickled okra, wild onions, tomatoes, and black bread. Served with a side salad or fried potatoes.


Mussels in White Wine Sauce

Potato bun, lettuce, tomato, wild onions, and pepper jack cheese. Served with a side salad or fried potatoes.


Flemish Leak Pie

Tenderized mutton, carrots, celery, tomatoes, onion, rosemary, and black pepper. Served with two sourdough biscuits.


Sole Meunière

Pan-seared wild boar, cracked peppercorns, and red wine glaze. Served with hot corn cakes and a side salad. 


Camembert, Saint Marcellin, Roquefort…

Two whole roasted quails stuffed with oregano and garlic. Served with roasted beets, leeks, and potatoes.

Auf der Brunnenstraße, gegenüber vom Weinmeisterpark, gibt es seit Januar 2019 frische Austern, Croque Toasts und Crêpe. Das VOLK ist Austernbar und Bistro. Hier wird authentisch französisch gekocht und gebacken. Auf der Karte stehen außerdem Eierspeisen, Porridge, Salate und Eintöpfe. VOLKS Chefköchin Margaux Arabian ist die Tochter der zweifachen Michelin-Sterneköchin Ghislaine Arabian.

Small and cute French (but not boring!) restaurant.
They serve quality oysters, which is not so easy to find in Berlin. The wine and champagne is also great.I highly recommend this place.
